Summary Response – “Real Love: What Is Real Love”
Dr. Margaret Paul, in the article, “ Real Love: What Is
Real Love”, describes how people can feel real love. According to Dr.
Margaret Paul, people who love themselves and others feel real love. If
people are eager to get love from another, it will not lead to real
love. People should give love to others more than get love from others.
People tend to want to get love from others. However, People who
focus on being loved cannot give love to others. People who keep
focusing on being loving themselves and others can have real love.
In sum, the author describes that being loving is the
important to feel real love. I generally agree with the author that
being loving is the best way to get real love. However, it’s hard for
people to get out of feeling that they want to be loved. If people are
easy to love themselves and others, there’s no trying to get real love.
People have to try hard to get real love. I’m concerned that people
want to get real love because they can’t get it, even trying.
Hi Amu. Your summary is so clear that I can understand well. It is an interesting article. Real love cannot be got, so people desire to get it. I agree with you that trying to get love is real love. In addition, it cannot be seen. I also think getting love and giving love are connected each other like the author, Dr. Margaret Paul, mentions. ReplyDeleteActually you have a nice topic about describes the real love , and I really like it, especially this sentence " People should give love to others more than get love from others." Because of that, I totally agree with Dr. Margaret Paul, and I agree with you too.However; I have a question If you do not mind . Actually, I did not get the point when you said "I’m concerned that people want to get real love because they can’t get it, even trying." Do you mean that there is no real love today?

from Shen-- I complete agree with your opinion. “If people are eager to get love from another, it will not lead to real love. People should give love to others more than get love from others.” When you unselfishly give your love to others, others will also give you their love. When you don't want other people can give you their love, you will feel you get a lot of love from them and you will feel happy. To me, I have a lot of friends, I always help them to finish something, I think that I help them and then I can feel happy in that thing. Generally, they give me their love. I feel I get love again. Therefore, I think if you always want them give you love, you will feel so sad! I recommend a story to you. The story is Cinderella Man. I agree with the author's opinion that being love is the best way to get love as well.I sure that the first love we have received is the love come from our family, so this why people think it is real love we cannot forget. Being love with others and to show your expect is the best way for everyone who wants get real love.

I agree that we have to love others, and we cannot force someone to love us. Also, we should not wait others to love us just because we love them. Furthermore, we don’t give something to someone in order to give back to us something else. When we provide the help and love to others we help our self to eliminate the selfishness. Moreover, the real love come whenever it comes, and we cannot prevent it too, so the real love is innocent feeling.

Hi, Amu.Thank you for your interesting summary & response. I also agree with this author because we can get love only when we give love to someone. I think this problem is often seen in the relation of lovers. They want each other to give themselves love, so if they don`t feel the partner`s love, they complain about that. But they both have to try to give love to each other before complaining.
